Web Services

Web Steering Committee

Charge

The Web Steering Committee is charged with advising the Web Services group on the overall look and feel of the University web site and the various policies that have been or will be developed related to the web. Further, this committee will review the various approved project requests and prioritize those based upon the perceived highest needs of the University and the availability of resources to complete the project. The goal of the CSUCI web site is to showcase the University, focusing on innovation, timeliness of content and user satisfaction.

Process

The Committee will advise the Web Services group of changes that they would like to see in the overall design of the University web site. A formal process is currently being developed to request specific web projects. Those requested projects that are approved by the appropriate Vice President will be presented to the committee for their review and prioritization. The Web Services group will be responsible for estimating the time commitment that would be necessary to complete each project and any other costs that might be associated with the project. Lastly, before web policies are submitted to the President's Council, they will be thoroughly vetted by the Web Steering Committee.
